Nha Trang Yacht Charter

Nha Trang is Vietnam's main yachting hub. It holds Ana Marina, the only international-standard marina in the country, and sits closest to the islands people come here for. The season runs February to August.

When to go out

February through August. Inside that window there are two distinct periods. February to April is the driest stretch. March sees only 30 mm of rain across three wet days. From May to August the water warms to 28.5–29 °C, the year's maximum, and average wind drops to about 6.3 knots.

September to December brings the northeast monsoon: 300 mm in October and 330 mm in November, with rain on 18 days a month. Trips still run, but plan spare dates.

Where the boats go

The bay is compact: under an hour to the farthest point on a normal route. That is unusual for Southeast Asia and the reason even two-hour trips are worth doing here.

IslandWhat it offers
Hon MunMarine reserve and the main snorkelling site. Visibility 15–20 m, over 350 coral species. The number of boats allowed in the water is capped
Hon TamBeach, mud baths, developed facilities. The busiest island in the bay
Hon MotSmall and quiet, usually the second stop after Hon Mun
Hon TreThe largest island in the bay, with a cable car and a theme park

Hon Mun is protected water with its own regime: mooring is restricted, boat numbers are capped, and diving is permitted only through a licensed operator with a certified guide.

Ana Marina opened in April 2023 and received its international port code only in May 2025. It remains the only marina of that standard in Vietnam. That explains the thin fleet: the infrastructure arrived two years ago and demand is outgrowing it faster than boats are being built.
